Posting your Entry
 

Submit your video entry via YouTube. If you want to submit an audio entry, it can be easily converted to video.

If you do not have a YouTube account, you will first need to create one.

If you want to submit an audio entry, it can be easily converted to video using the methods described below.

 
1. Naming Your Entry

The title of your video entry must start with “Korg Monomania Sound Contest

 
2. Tagging Your Entry

Use the “Tag” field to select the correct category for your entry.

For example, enter “KORG monomania monotron sfx” in the Tag field when uploading your video to submit your entry in the monotron sound effect category; “KORG monomania monotron music” to enter in the monotron music category; or “KORG monomania monotribe music” to enter in the monotribe music category.


 
 
 
 
Creating a Video Entry from an Audio Clip

If you wish to enter your creation as an audio file, you can use a conversion site such as MP3Tube or MP32tube to transform your audio clip into a video. It is also possible to do the conversion using programs available in most computers, using the "Creating a Video" guide below. You may use your own still image file, or download specially-made background pictures provided by Korg from following links.

Windows Users
 

Use the Movie Maker application that comes preinstalled in Windows.

  1. Launch the Movie Maker application.
  2. In "Capture (Import) Video," click "Audio or music."
  3. Open the audio file that you want to upload.
  4. Drag the opened audio file clip and drop it on the storyboard.
  5. In "Capture (Import) Video," click "Video."
  6. Open the image file that you want to upload.
  7. Drag the opened image file and drop it on the storyboard.
    *Since the duration of the image data must match the duration of the audio data, drag the edge of the "Video" to extend it to match the audio data.
  8. In "Finish movie (Publish to)," click "Computer" and specify the location where you want the file to be saved.
    This completes the procedure. The file you just created can now be used as your YouTube entry.
 
Mac Users
 

Use the iMovie application that comes preinstalled on your Mac.

  1. Launch the iMovie application
  2. From the folders in which they're saved, drag and drop the audio data and image data into the project library space located above.
    1. Drag and drop the image data first.
    2. Next, select the image data that you dropped, so that it is shown in green.
    3. Drag and drop the audio data onto the selected image data.
  3. The total time of the video is shown in the upper left; copy and paste the image data so that it matches the duration of the audio data.
  4. Press the space key to verify that the video will play back.
  5. Save the video.
    1. In "Share," click "Media Browser."
    2. Select the size for saving, and click "Publish."
      *The saved data will be created only in the size you select.
  6. Verify that the video has been saved in the iMovie folder. This completes the procedure.The file you just created can now be used as your YouTube entry.
